Is everything okay up there? I just logged onto bbc news and saw that there was a big bridge that collapsed in Minneapolis. Wanted to check in with my pal up north, make sure he and his friends are all okay...
Yeah, thanks for asking. I was at work when the bridge fell. It's disturbing how totally that bridge collapsed though. Almost everyone around here used that one on a fairly regular basis.
It was funny to get calls from people at various times. I could tell which of my friends are news hounds and which ones are relatively unplugged. There were a slew of calls right after the collapse. A few that night and the next morning and then the handful of calls that happened a day to almost a week later. It was nice to know that people cared though (or at least to know that they remembered that I live in Minnesota).
